Code of Ethics

The Institute subscribes to the following code of conduct for its members:

  • A member shall recognize his responsibility to his employer in giving fair and just opinions to those whom he may serve and those who may serve him, by striving to improve the quality of the products over which he may have control and the efficiency of their manufacture, by discouraging the manufacture of unprofitable items, by maintain and inquiring attitude towards new technique and developments and by encouraging the introduction of improved methods and material.
  • A member shall not seek or accept new employment based primarily on the specialized knowledge of his/her present employer.
  • A member shall actively support and take part in the work or his/her local section of the institution and exchange non-competitive information.
