The National President of Polymer Institute of Nigeria (PIN), Dr Paul Mamza, in this interview with Shalom Oludele, observes that the nation’s drive for technological advancement deserves support of all stakeholders.
What is the mission of your professional body? The Polymer Institute of Nigeria is an amalgam and an umbrella of Polymer Scientists, Engineers, Technologists and Industrialists in Nigeria.
The mission of the Institute amongst others is to promote, advance and develop the application of Polymer Science, Engineering and Technology in the Polymer and Allied industries in Nigeria and act as a professional body for prescribing standard of experience and efficiency in the Research and Education in all facet of Polymer Science, Engineering and Technology.
It is also to liaise with Government and private Institutions towards partnership in skills acquisition programs and poverty alleviation schemes with the aim of enhancing key policy direction in rapid interventions for economic recovery.
With the pool of professionals in the Institute having vast knowledge and experience and proper utilization of their skills and knowledge, such direction are achievable and attainable. [Download]
